After all the pieces were rinsed, I washed them in hot water and synthrapol. About halfway through the dryer cycle and checked them and found all of these threads wrapped around the pieces tourniquet style. The pieces must half lost an inch in width due to fraying. Maybe next time I'll cut the pieces with pinking shears instead of tearing.
