(Over)Blending, Part II

Thanks Claudia for the good spinning karma! It's actually turning out very nicely. You would never call it vibrant, but I like it. I'll need strong daylight for anything similar to what I'm seeing to show up on a monitor however, so a picture will have to wait. Lesson learned: Blend the mohair locks thoroughly before adding to a well-carded roving! Carolyn, as pretty as the batts look on the left, I wouldn't have been able to spin them, unless I was trying for a novelty yarn. The mohair was just too clumpy.

Next up: another batch of roaster roving to (lightly) blend up. It couldn't be easier, since I don't even have to try and make smooth color transitions. Oh, June, I have a Louet roving carder, but I'm lusting over a Duncan electric. I may have to call in all of my Mother's Day and birthday markers!
